Our Aim.
Our aim at Kiddy Jingles is to allow children to explore and experience music in a safe and fun environment.
We strongly believe that the skills learnt by babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers through music provide an excellent foundation for the later development of language and fine and gross motor skills. Research has shown that singing songs and rhymes on a regular basis helps to broaden your child’s vocabulary and listening skills . Further still, through regular group interaction, Kiddy Jingles enhances the emotional and social development of each child and helps parents to feel comfortable singing and dancing with their children.
Above all, Kiddy Jingles is fun; fun for the children and fun for the parents. It is a tried and tested formula that works and works well;

A typical session.
The classes combine music and movement with toys and props to help keep the children’s attention. During a typical 40 minute class, we will sing nursery rhymes, action songs, lap songs, counting songs and finger rhymes. A wide range of props are used including, puppets, bubbles, percussion instruments, a parachute and soft toys. These all help the children to engage with the music and bring the sessions to life. The emphasis is on the children enjoying themselves so sessions are set at the child’s level.
Whilst there is structure to the sessions, we believe it is important for each child to be given freedom in a safe environment to move around and express themselves as they wish.
Singing with your little one should be a relaxed, multi sensory learning experience both of you enjoy!
Why does Kiddy Jingles work?

“Firstly, and perhaps most importantly, the music Kiddy Jingles uses is huge fun with lots of actions to join in with, puppets, bubbles and other interesting props and lots of instruments to bang, shake and rattle! The songs are a lovely mixture of old favourites, often with new verses, and the fantastically catchy and individual Piccolo Music songs.
Secondly, these songs are then carefully put together into half-termly programmes with a different topic each half term, for example transport, animals, etc. - great for early vocabulary development.
Thirdly, unlike many other music groups, the songs are then repeated every week so that even the smallest babies in the group start to anticipate favourite songs and will even try to join in the actions. The repeated songs help the older children (and the parents!) to become familiar with the songs so they can quickly start joining in with the singing. Repetition is key to helping children in the early stages of language development and the range of actions/gestures and other props are also excellent for supporting early language acquisition. The simple structure of all the sessions also helps children gain in confidence as they know what to expect each session.
Finally, the variety of the session in terms of action songs, bubbles, instruments and puppets helps keep even the most distractible children happily engaged!”
